Developmental History: Understanding the individual’s developmental milestones and any relevant background information.
Current Difficulties: Assessing the present challenges and concerns faced by the individual.
Environmental Factors: Evaluating the impact of the individual’s environment on their behaviour and development.
Mental Health History: Conducting a thorough review of the individual’s mental health history.

The second appointment, lasting 45 minutes, is conducted by our specialist team, which includes paediatrician's and psychiatrists. At ablycalm, the purpose of this appointment is to:
Review Reports: Our specialists thoroughly review the reports and information gathered during the first appointment.
Discuss Findings: The specialist will discuss the findings with the young individual or their family, ensuring a clear understanding of the evaluation results.
Provide Diagnosis: If the individual meets the criteria, a formalised diagnosis will be provided during this session.
Recommendations: Following the diagnosis, the specialist will offer a set of tailored recommendations to best support the young individual’s ongoing development and well-being.
Appointment 3 - 12
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Intervention Program
Following the Specialists review and diagnosis session, our tailored Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) intervention program offers structured sessions with an experienced clinician trained in DBT principles. This program is designed to:
Develop Practical Skills: Equip individuals with essential skills to manage emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.
Provide Structured Support: Deliver consistent, focused sessions that build upon each individual's strengths and address their unique challenges.
Foster Long-Term Growth: Support the development of adaptive coping strategies that promote resilience and well-being over time.
Each session is tailored to meet the specific needs of the young individual or their family, ensuring a personalised and effective therapeutic experience.
Appointment 13
Follow-Up with Paediatrician or Psychiatrist
The 13th appointment is a dedicated follow-up session with your Paediatrician or Psychiatrist. This session is designed to:
Review Progress: Assess the individual's development and response to the intervention program.
Evaluate Medication: Monitor the effectiveness of any prescribed medication and make adjustments if necessary.
